Workspace

Team members and roles

Invite teammates, understand what each role can do, and manage API keys and custom domains.

You can invite teammates to a shared workspace on team plans. Each member gets a role that decides what they can see and change. Inviting members needs the Business plan or higher; the app shows "Inviting members requires a team plan (Business or higher)." otherwise.

What roles are there?

| Role | What it can do | | --- | --- | | Owner | Everything, including deleting the workspace, changing member roles, billing, and API keys | | Admin | Update workspace settings, invite and remove members, manage API keys, view billing and the audit log | | Member | View workspace, members, billing, the audit log, and notifications | | Guest | View the workspace and its members only |

The Roles page in the dashboard lists these as read-only. Roles are fixed and cannot be edited. Owners cannot be invited: the person who created the workspace is the owner.

How do I invite someone?

  1. Open Members in the dashboard. It appears when team access is enabled for your workspace.
  2. Choose to invite, enter the person's email, and pick Admin or Member.
  3. Send the invitation. The invitation email contains a link of the form /invite/<token>.
  4. The person opens the link and joins your workspace.

Only admins and owners can invite. Invitations are rate limited to prevent abuse.

How do I remove a member?

Admins and owners can remove members from the Members page. You cannot remove yourself, and the primary owner cannot be removed.

How many seats does each plan include?

Seats are the number of people in a workspace: 1 on Free and Starter, 3 on Pro, 25 on Business, and unlimited on Enterprise. See plans and billing.

Where are API keys and custom domains?

Both live under Settings.

  • API keys: admins and owners can create and revoke keys, members can view the list. A new key is shown only once, so copy it immediately. Keys do not expire by default, and a revoked key cannot be restored. See the API reference.
  • Custom domains: map your own domain to the workspace by adding a DNS TXT record to verify ownership. Admins and owners manage domains, and the feature is included from Pro upward.

Is there a record of who did what?

Yes. Settings has an audit log that owners, admins, and members can read. Audit logs are included from Pro upward.
