Getting started

Create an account, make your first dynamic QR code, and see your first scan in a few minutes.

You can have a working dynamic QR code in about five minutes. Sign up, create a code that points at any web address, download the image, and scan it. Every scan after that shows up in your analytics.

What is a dynamic QR code?

A dynamic QR code does not hold your destination inside the image. It holds a short qraffic link, and that link sends the scanner to your destination. Because the destination lives on our side, you can change it later without reprinting anything, and we can count every scan.

A static QR code is the opposite: the content is baked into the image, so it can never change and nothing is tracked. Static codes are unlimited on every plan. Dynamic codes are limited by plan, see plans and billing.

How do I create my first QR code?

Create an account from the sign up page. Account creation does not ask for a credit card.
Open the QR codes page in the dashboard and choose New QR code.
Give the code a name, for example "Summer campaign". The name is only for you and can be up to 120 characters.
Set the type to Dynamic (trackable, editable).
Pick a content type. URL sends scanners to a web address. The other dynamic types are covered in landing pages and forms and lead capture.
Enter the destination URL and choose Create QR code.

The new code appears in your list with its short link. Use the copy button next to the link to copy it, or open the code to download the image.

How do I download and test the code?

Open the code and go to the Studio tab. You can download the image as PNG or SVG. Use SVG for print, since it stays sharp at any size. Before you print, scan the code with a phone, and read design and download for contrast and size advice.
